    This book was overflowing and dripping with intense emotion. It's one of those stories that highlights the idea that beauty and pain two different sides of the same coin. Reyna and Liam's love story is not a traditional one and it doesn't take you from start to finish in a straight line, or even a crooked line. It has stops, starts, detours, roundabouts, trap doors and explosions along the way. It travels on a dark and dirty road, sometimes moving at speeds too fast for the conditions. Reyna is definitely one of the most emotionally messed up heroines I ever read. She's up to her eyeballs in complex emotions that are based on self-deprecation and punishment. At times I found myself struggling to understand why she felt that way, but by the end of the story it all made sense to me. There were a few times I didn't like her very much, I didn't understand her and I wasn't sure how the story was going to end. The story pushes some boundaries, breaks some rules and at times it pushed me out of my comfort zone emotionally. I spent a lot of time crying, feeling and thinking. It was beautiful, engaging, heartbreaking with a side of erotic and sexy.
